While your comfort zone is comfortable, it’s no way to live. Life’s little risks are where the fun is, and it’s also where you’ll step out of your routine and into something that engages you, helps keep you thrilled, and may even help you build something powerful with your time.
Not every thrill has to be your next step in your career or help lead you to new opportunities. Some can be just a new way to have fun and thrills, even while cozied up on the couch.
Every little risk is a great way to balance out the routine and responsibility of your daily life. Just as there’s a work/life balance, there’s an important thrill/routine balance. If you feel like you’ve gotten stuck in the mud of your own routine, then it’s time to follow these top tips to discover joy in life’s little risks:

1. Skip Social Media and Opt for Games
One of the easiest ways to get out of a routine rut is by swapping endless scrolling on social media (which is passive) for playing games (which is active). Being active is a powerful force, and it can completely reset your frame of mind.
The games you play are also entirely up to you. If you get your thrills out of betting, for example, you can play roulette games at spincasino.com, including live ones. Not only do you have more options in terms of minimum bets, you also have more play options and even graphics options, from 9 Masks of Fire to live games.
2. Attend Events Alone
If you want to make friends and build up your social network, then one of life’s little risks that you will need to take is to attend an event alone. There are so many events designed to help people meet others and make friends.
This could be a book club, it could be a launch party, it could be a speed dating event. Going alone is the best way to completely submerge yourself in making friends, as you won’t have anyone you know there to talk to and cling to. It’s scary, and there is the risk you won’t click with anyone, but it’s one of those little risks that can bring massive amounts of joy.

3. Try New Foods
There’s always the risk you may not like new foods. Sometimes you may not like how a certain food is prepared rather than the food itself. Either way, with taste being one of the five ways we experience the world, it’s absolutely worth your time to take the plunge and try new foods, new recipes, and new eateries to expand your palette.
4. Take Up a New Hobby
You need to be willing to be bad at things. Many people struggle with the embarrassment of being poor at doing something or making something that objectively isn’t great, so they avoid it altogether.
That’s why it’s so important to chuck those fears away and take up new hobbies. Trying new things does come with the risk that you will be bad at it or you won’t like it. The risk of being bad is worth the effort of trying.
Even if you don’t pick it up, you’ll have done some wonderful things for your brain and broken up your routine, which is still a win!
